Meet Team Captain Sofia Guzman
Get to know her on and off the court
We’re excited to introduce Sofia Guzman, one of our team captains! 😄
Sofia has already demonstrated outstanding leadership by helping define the program and connect with players as we launch our first Club Tennis season. We’re grateful to have her in the program and can’t wait to see all that she’ll accomplish on and off the court! 🎾
Here’s a little more about her:
Sofia is a senior at Bishop Kelly High School, where she has played on the varsity tennis team for the past three years - two years of girls doubles and one year of mixed doubles. Last year, she won a state championship representing her high school in doubles alongside her partner, Kayla Nielsen.🏆
Sofia has been playing tennis since she was 8 years old and loves the game “not only because it’s a fun sport, but also because of the friendships, connections, and sense of community it has given me!”
Off the court, Sofia enjoys reading, playing piano, competing in speech and debate, and hanging out with my friends and family. After high school, she plans to attend college and pursue degrees in finance and political science.
