Thank You to Our Team Mentors
We appreciate your support this season
As we wrap up the season, we want to take a moment to thank the team mentors who helped make the Boise Club Tennis program run smoothly and grow throughout the season. Each brought something unique to the table, helping in ways both big and small that kept the program moving forward.
We’d especially like to recognize Nancy Zeng, who went above and beyond this season. In addition to mentoring, she took on much of the match-day coordination, working closely with Sofia Guzman to set up the process, manage check-ins, direct players to courts, and record results. She handled it all with calm efficiency — even “kicking me out” of the area that first day so she and Sofia could take charge. Her son David also helped capture some great photos during the matches, which we really appreciated.
A special thanks as well to Dana Gross, who helped spark the program’s growth and encouraged participation from players out west, including many who joined us from Fruitland.
We’d also like to thank Bob Firpo, who stepped in at the end of the season to help mentor and secured courts for the championship; Heather Dermott, who jumped in to help with match-day logistics (and whose husband Ross kindly helped with photos); Priya Kanaparti, who volunteered last minute and helped wherever needed; and Tannan Koehl, who helped coordinate the food truck — a fun new addition we were able to try out this year.
Each of these mentors contributed, helping make this season a smoother, more organized, and more enjoyable for everyone involved. We’re grateful for the time and energy they gave to support the players and the program.
