Final Day Schedule & Format Update
Venue and time change
With an 80% chance of rain still expected for tomorrow, we’ve adjusted our original tournament format to make sure everyone enjoys a fun and competitive day of tennis even if conditions aren’t ideal. We will now be playing at the Boise Racquet & Swim Club — a huge thank-you to Bob Firpo for connecting us!
Rather than running full singles, doubles, and mixed tournaments, we’ll be hosting a series of mini-events throughout the day. Each event will guarantee every player one match, and if we gain access to additional courts (as expected), we’ll work to ensure everyone plays at least two matches.
The mini-events will follow one of two structures:
• Round Robin: Players or teams compete within a small group, facing multiple opponents.
• Mini Bracket: A semifinals and finals setup for a quick, competitive series.
Our current schedule lists everyone’s first match, along with finals matches for the Championship Series events:
• Boys Singles Championship
• Girls Singles Championship
• Boys Doubles Championship
• Girls Doubles Championship
We won’t be running a Mixed Doubles division this weekend due to limited entries.
Play will take place at Boise Racquet and Swim Club, where we have four guaranteed courts for the day.
While you’re there, be sure to check out the new Tie-Break Grille at BRSC — perfect whether you’re refueling after a match or just relaxing by the pool. They’ve got something for everyone! Learn more here.
We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and enthusiasm — it’s going to be a great finish to the season, rain or shine!
